I recently received back photos of one of my very first weddings from last Summer. Laura was one of my first brides and wanted something a bit different for her wedding at Rowton Castle in Shropshire. Her bridesmaids were to wear aubergine but she was also keen on the flock chair veils she had seen on our
website.
So here is what we came up with.
For the civil ceremony we used black and champagne organza flock chair veils on alternate butter and black chair covers. We then used a black flock table runner to cover the taffeta aubergine table cloth that had been put on the registrars table.
For the reception, Laura had 8 round tables. The centre four were dressed with black chair covers and champagne chair veils whilst the outer four were dressed with butter chair covers and black chair veils. All were dressed with aubergine tablecloths and the flock runners to give it a more striking effect. The amazing candelabras were actually made by Laura's uncle who makes iron gates! He carved Laura's and Michael's initials into them to make them extra special.
Laura was very keen that the reception room had a certain ambiance to it. She wanted it just to be lit by candles and uplighters (that the grooms party worked very hard on to achieve) to create the look she desired. As as you can see, the overall look is exactly what Laura set out for.
