One of my favourite wedding venues in Lancashire (and one that I have blogged about before) is Ribby Hall in Wrea Green so I was extremely pleased when this wedding appeared in my inbox from 2cPhotoDesign.  Amanda and Martins civil ceremony took place in the spectacular Summer House, which is one of only a few places that you can actually get married outside in Lancashire.  Amanda, the bride, tells us a bit more more about their day...

 "It was a perfect day from start to finish. The planning of the wedding was a little different from the norm as I was engaged to groomzilla and the only thing I really had any say in was my outfit for the day. Credit where credits due, he did a really good job."

"The one piece of advice we would offer any couple getting married is meet up with your photographers and venue staff a number of times before your big day as out of all your suppliers they will be the people that spend most of your day with you. So if you feel comfortable with them you will be able to relax and enjoy your day."

"We would recommend both Ribby Hall and 2C Photo Design to any couple getting married as they were both helpful without being intrusive. People still mention how lovely our venue was and how amazing the food tasted. As for the photos they are amazing and personally we find that very important for when the excitement of the day has ended as they are a clear reminder of how special and perfect our big day was."

I may not have a reality series on E! Entertainment channel but I do have this reality blog to update you all.

Last week I had the week off the day job to catch up on all the mundane boring jobs that having a business entails i.e. accounts.  But I also had 3 fantastic weddings to dress.  A tiffany blue at Ribby Hall Village in Lancashire, ivory at Carden Park in Cheshire on the Monday (a wedding on a Monday?!) and then I dressed a stunning wedding at Rowton Castle in Shrewsbury last Friday.  Here's a few sneak peaks, I'd love your feedback on them.

So I'm excited to get into the new wedding fayre season.  On Sunday I was at Brockholes, the only floating wedding venue in the north west and it is an awesome venue.  So unique and so beautiful, it is definitely worth checking out if you haven't booked your wedding venue yet.  I decided to go with a natural, organic display to fit in with the venues ethos, I even used the Lavender from my own garden (it's the only thing that has successfully grown!).

Over the next couple of months, I will also be at The Hilton in Blackpool on 18/09, The Marriott in Preston on 25/09, Knutsford Bloom Wedding Weekend on the 1st & 2nd October, Whalley Abbey on 06/10 and The Invincibles Suite on 23/10.

I am also tres excited to be working with a very very local florist.  Helen will be taking over Budz Florist in Adlington, Lancashire, which just happens to be down the road from me! More info will be coming to the blog soon. There's no place like Blackpool

Blackpool.  Commonly known as the hen party destination of the North.  Whilst others recoil in horror at the drunks in fancy dress, others embrace everything Blackpool has to offer, which isn't just bars and clubs.  So here is a guide that will hopefully suit everyone hen, from the cultural hen to the 'lets go out and par-tay' hen!

And for a bargain price of £16 for a 2 course pre dinner including admission, who can turn down the oppurtunity to see one of most enteratining shows in the country.  To make your hen party extra special you can also reserve VIP tables to ensure you have the best seats in the house AND have waitress service!

Voted Blackpools best hen night show for 7 years running, Adonis Caberet is another hen party destination.  "Adonis Cabaret constantly beats one dimensional strip shows or comedy clubs by combining both! There is always a show or exhibition on at Winter Gardens (such as Alice through The Winter Gardens) and The Opera House if that takes your fancy and for the big kids, the new Tower Dungeons open on September 1st and The Tower Circus is on until November.  And of course there is always the usual attractions of The Pleasure Beach, Golden Mile and newly renovated Blackpool Tower to tie into your hen party.
